Mike McDaniels :

Mike was saved at an early age and found such a love for GOD and singing. He has been singing since he was about five or six years old. He shared the first place prize at a school talent contest when he was only seven years old. His family traveled and ministered the gospel in song for many years. When Mike was only 9 years old, he and his two brothers made their first recording. Later on Mike recorded three more projects with the McDaniels family. In 1999 Mike was a founding member of the group Joyful Hearts. In the nine years he sang with Joyful Hearts, he recorded five more projects including three songs that he wrote. In May, 2008 Mike and Cathy decided to form their own group and named it Southern Grace. Mike's prayer is that GOD will use him to encourage and lead lost souls to CHRIST.

Cathy McDaniels :

Cathy started singing at the early age of three years old. She wrote her
first song when she was only 8 years old. She started singing with her
family The McDaniels Family and traveled and ministered with her family until 1999.In 2000, she joined a group called Servants Heart. During the time she was with Servants Heart, she recorded two projects with mostly songs that she has written. In 2004 she was invited to join her brother Mike's group Joyful Hearts. She traveled and ministered with Joyful Hearts and recorded two projects. In May of 2008, she and Mike formed Southern Grace. Cathy's main focus has been and always will be ministering God's word through song, in hopes that someone's life will be touched and changed through her testimony and the ministry of Southern Grace.

David Smith, Jr. :

David began his musical journey 22 years ago when he started singing some in his home church in Norwood NC at Community Freewill Baptist Church. He was saved on October 4th, 1987, and has loved serving the Lord ever since. During this time, he also learned to play piano and started writing music at an early age. Over the years he traveled with several southern gospel groups in the area around
Albemarle NC. He had the great privilege of playing piano for one of southern gospel's great baritone singers, Eddie Deitz and his group Mountain Gospel. You will remember Eddie with the years he spent with The Inspirations. David also had his own ministry for about 8 years The David Smith Trio. David has written many songs that have
blessed many people. His greatest joy in gospel music is seeing people come to know the saving knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ. His love for southern gospel music has led him up this current ministry, Southern Grace. Our soul purpose is to minister and not be  entertainment.
